The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, met the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Dr Taleb Rifai, today (February 8) to exchange views on global tourism development. Mrs Lau said that despite the uncertain operating environment last year, Hong Kong is pleased to have received more visitors in 2009 than 2008 with an increase of 0.3% to 29.59 million.
